About the job:
Based in Brussels, Belgium you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join CSU Brussels, which is the leading provider of Communications and Information System (CIS) products and services to locally based NATO entities such as the NATO Headquarters and International and Military Staff. CSU Brussels enables end-to-end CIS services and manages critical technological capabilities during peacetime, crisis and war.
We are looking for two roles: a driven and enthusiastic Senior System Engineer (G12) and a core-level System Engineer (G10) who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:
• Creates, installs, operates, maintains and supports server software images, both for Operating Systems and assigned applications;
• Analyses and resolves assigned level 2 incident and problem tickets;
• Supports IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM), Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans;
• Operates assigned CIS systems and resolves alerts and error conditions;
• Documents the configuration of assigned CIS equipment and related operating procedures;
• Monitors and reports on the capacity of the assigned CIS systems.

Please note that the internal job titles for these roles are Principal Technician (Digital Infrastructure) and Technician (Digital Infrastructure) respectively.
About you:
The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:
• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 2 – 3 years post-related experience, or a secondary educational qualification with 4 - 5 years post-related experience;
• Excellent troubleshooting skills;
• Current in-depth knowledge and practical work experience of Microsoft Windows operating systems (latest versions) in a large scale LAN-based client-server environment using Active Directory Services;
• Experience with the support and implementation of Oracle Linux (or RedHat) servers, possibly clustered, in a High Availability configuration;
• Current knowledge and recent practical experience of VMware virtual infrastructure;
• Current knowledge and recent practical experience in using mainstream Mobile Device Managers (MDM);
• Practical experience of scripting with Windows PowerShell;
• ITIL Foundation certification;
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
