Who we are:

For more than 70 years, NATO’s mission has been to preserve peace and security in the Alliance for nearly one billion citizens. The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) and its predecessors have worked tirelessly in providing the means that enable the connectedness and togetherness that keep our Alliance strong. We are the NCI Agency, a team of 3000 civilian and military staff in 29 locations throughout Europe, North America and Asia. Our technology and cyber experts allow NATO to conduct critical operations, protect NATO’s airspace, make data-driven decisions, defend against cyber-attacks, secure NATO networks and maintain superiority in space. This is all possible because of our greatest force, our people. In order to keep this edge we aim to hire, train and retain the very best staff. Our staff members represent both the diversity and unity of our Alliance. When you join the NCI Agency, you will be part of an organization where you can contribute authentically to the mission and purpose of NATO and help us keep our technological edge.

About the job:

At the NCIA Command and Control (C2) Centre, we’re delivering secure, innovative, coherent, cost effective and interoperable communications and information systems solutions to enable command & control of NATO forces, where and when required. You will be joining our small but ambitious team of friendly and supportive colleagues at Enablement and Logistics, designing scalable, secure and high-performance systems that meet the operational needs of the NATO community.

We are now seeking to appoint 2 x Senior Solution Engineers!

Solution Engineers are domain specific technical experts that translate capability requirements into implementation plans, designs and development activities.  They select, design and implement solutions to requirements within a given application domain. They derive solution requirements and designs from capability requirements and architectures.  Solutions, designs, and implementations encompass products, product components, encompassing software, hardware, network, data, documentation and development/test environments.  They evaluate supplier’s technical solution and to manage selected interfaces of that solution.

We have exciting positions within the following domains:

Maritime

You will be at the forefront of delivering next-generation Maritime C2 capabilities for NATO operations. Translate operational challenges into scalable technical solutions that empower real-world missions. Collaborate with experts and users to ensure systems meet the demands of dynamic naval theatres. Support mission readiness and interoperability across Allied forces and multi-domain environments. Your insights will drive innovation, resilience, and effectiveness across NATO’s maritime operations. Join a team that values trust, precision, and purpose—where your impact truly matters.

Joint Command and Control

You will drive strategic planning, enterprise architecture and future-focused technology delivery for Joint Command and Control capabilities for NATO. With deep expertise, you shape interoperable systems and lead complex multi-domain projects. Your leadership defines standards in data governance and emerging tech ecosystems. You guide organisations through scalable, secure, mission-aligned transformations. Trusted by stakeholders across defence, industry, and government, you build lasting impact. At the intersection of policy and innovation, you champion excellence and progress.
