About the job:

Based in Mons, Belgium you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join NATO Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), which is responsible for planning and executing all lifecycle management activities for cyber security. In executing this responsibility, NCSC provides specialist cyber security-related services covering the spectrum of scientific, technical, acquisition, operations, maintenance, and sustainment support, throughout the lifecycle of NATO Communications and Information Systems (CIS).

We are looking for driven and enthusiastic Senior Staff Officers who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation and running of the NICC by coordinating the execution of NICC related technology projects, liaising with all relevant stakeholders to ensure a proper understanding of requirements and assisting in the dissemination of information, including plans, deliverables, schedules, updates, issues, risks, and any last-minute changes;
  • Acting as an NCIA representative in the NICC, you will also be responsible to coordinate NICC activities, processes, policies, risks, and issues with relevant stakeholders within the NCIA, engaging at the appropriate levels for each case in hand, and communicating feedback, decisions, and actions back to other entities within the NICC at the appropriate level;
  • Take responsibility for understanding customer requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis, communicating information, and resolving problems;
  • Coordinate the contributions of various NATO stakeholders and industry representatives to improve cyber capabilities;
  • Contribute to the development of operational procedures or documented process reviews in order to help integrate the main cyberspace communities.

About you:

The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:

  • Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 3 years post-related experience. Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 10 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post;
  • At least 3 years’ experience in planning and execution of Defensive Cyberspace Operations, management of major Cyber Security Incidents (CIRP), and/or assessment of cyber risks through the Enterprise Risk Management Process (ECRM);
  • Relevant experience in the management of large Cybersecurity projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders in separate locations;
  • Extensive experience in delivering and planning for operational cyber security services;
  • Relevant experience in developing collaboration and information sharing with Allies, Defence industry and universities;
  • Vast experience producing clear and concise presentations and reports to both technical and non-technical audiences as well as giving effective presentation;
  • Proven organizational, managerial and coordination skills;
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and verbal and written communication skills;
  • Good understanding of the management of IT Service Delivery, following ITIL framework;
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
